Ackbar Mon Calamarian Rebel Navy Admiral was captured when the Empire
took over Calamari, and was presented to Grand Moff Tarkin as a
personal slave. He was later rescued and from that point on, Ackbar
served the Alliance faithfully, using his knowledge of Imperial
doctrine wherever possible. He was in command at the Battle of Endor,
guiding the space battle over the second Death Star and drawing
fire from the ships that were to destroy space station's central
power core. |

was named one of the X-wing pilots in Red Squadron. On Yavin 4,
he was reunited with Luke just prior to the battle. In the Alliance's
final run at the Death Star's polar trench, Biggs was killed while
protecting Luke's back from the onrushing Imperial TIE Fighters.

As a young Wookiee on Kashyyyk, Chewbacca excelled at most mechanical
skills pertaining to and not excluding piloting. By the time he
was 80, he felt the call of the stars and decided to visit a few
strange new worlds. While he was away, Kashyyyk was overtaken by
the Empire and the entire Wookiee race was declared fair slave trade.
This meant that any Wookiee caught roaming free could be captured
and sold. Decades after his capture, Chewbacca met an Imperial officer
named Han Solo. Solo felt for this demoralized creature and, despite
strict rules forbidding interference, helped the Wookiee escape.
In return for sacrificing his career, Chewbacca offered the Corellian
a life debt. And after quite a few years of shadowing the officer-turned-freelance,
Solo broke down and accepted the offer. He helped rescue Princess
Leia on the Death Star and later helped defeat the Imperial ground
forces on Endor. |

Hobbie has been around for a long, long time. Born on Raltiir, he
went to the Imperial Academy with Biggs Darklighter and also defected
with Biggs. Hobbie joined Rogue Squadron at Hoth and served in it
for many years until he was reassigned to pilot training with Wes
Janson. When the Rogues were AWOL during the retaking of Coruscant,
Hobbie and Janson took over an alternate Rogue Squadron until the
rest of the Rogues returned. Hobbie stayed with Rogue Squadron and
remained for many more years, eventually going to Wraith Squadron
and back. He is still a member of the Rogues even after the Yuuzhan
Vong crisis. |

continue to support the Alliance and then the New Republic and even
the Galactic Alliance, performing many tasks on starships. |

Correlian by birth and a decorated Imperial officer, Madine defected
to the Alliance after given a top-secret task by Palpatine himself.
Madine thought the task so criminal and vile that he defected shortly
after the Battle of Yavin. The Alliance was skeptical of him at
first but he proved beyond their wildest dreams, planning and coordinating
military operations with Akbar. It was Madine’s idea to have
Han Solo and a small task force go and attack the shield generator
protecting the second Death Star. After that, he was offered a position
on the New Republic’s Provisional Council, but he declined,
stating, “I am a warrior, not a politician.” Later he
became the head of covert ops as Supreme Allied Commander for Intelligence.
He was greatly involved in the battle against Grand Admiral Thrawn
and was key in showing how to attack the World Devastators. Later,
he found out about project Darksaber being built by Durga the Hutt
and proceeded to halt the operation. The halting was a success,
but Crix was shot in the heart and killed by Durga in the process.

Rieekan was in charge of ground forces on Hoth and was the officer
who ordered retreat from the planet. Years later as Leia Solo’s
second-in-command he took over in her absence in the Nam Chorios
troubles. He survived a poisoning aimed at putting the Republic
in chaos and then later became the head of Intelligence. He made
the decision to cancel Colonel Pakkpekatt’s pursuit of the
vagabond ghost ship carrying Lando and Lobot and the droids C-3PO
and R2-D2, but he allowed Pakkpekatt to go after them in the Lady
Luck, Lando’s ship. |

with good administrators and bad ones but when Lando Calrissian
challenged the previous owner of the cloud city to a high-stakes
sabacc match, Lobot secretly aided Calrissian and helped the rogue
win the ownership rights to Cloud City. When Lando proved to be
a more than competent administrator, Lobot again threw himself into
his work, and even helped manage some of Calrissian's less lawful
endeavors. |

the Imperial Academy, he was placed under command of General Veers.
While on leave he heard Princess Leia speak about galactic rights
and decided to defect. He was then placed under command of Madine
and Derlin. Later he was offered his own squad and he accepted,
but deigned to remain a Lieutenant as a sign of humility. His squad
later goes on to become Page’s Commandos, or the Katarn Commandos,
well known especially for helping to take the Maw Installation.

following Palpatine's rise to power, and formed the Alliance to
Restore the Republic. She became the leader of the Alliance, and
her political savvy made her nearly irreplaceable. |

This Sullustan was tall for his species, Nien Nunb fled from Sullust
and joined the Alliance. Nien Nunb's greatest achievement came during
the Battle of Endor, when he was assigned to be Lando's co-pilot
the Millennium Falcon in the assault on the second Death Star. Lando
approached him with an offer to help mine Kessel's spice mines for
a limited share of the mines' profits. Nunb saw the logic behind
employing races which naturally lived beneath the ground to legally
mine spice, and agreed to serve as Calrissian's Chief Administrator.

He was a noted resistance fighter during the Galactic Civil War.

Born on Corellia, Wedge quickly demonstrated his abilities as a
fighter pilot, and also ran a number of reconnaissance and escort
missions before being tapped as one of the X-wing pilots in the
Battle of Yavin. Since then, Wedge's growing skills have earned
him a number of distinctions, the greatest of which came when he
was named squadron leader of the famous Rogue Squadron. While with
Rogue Squadron, Wedge assisted Lando Calrissian during the Battle
of Endor, and helped destroy the incomplete Death Star being built
there. |

Y-Wing pilots are very skilled at handling the Y-Wing snubfighter,
or “wishbone” to Rebel pilots for its wishbone-like
shape. The Y-Wing has two crewmen as it has many sensors and weapons.
A pilot has to be able to perform optimally in both positions, both
pilot and gunner if they ever hope to survive in the blundering
spacecraft. Although it is slow, it is very instrumental in every

Zev Senesca was born on Kestic Station near the Bestine system.
His parents had nurtured his rebellious side and as soon as he could
he joined the Alliance. His parents were killed when an Imperial
Star Destroyer destroyed Kestic Station. In the Alliance, he was
a snowspeeder pilot at Echo Base on Hoth. He was the pilot who first
spotted Han Solo and Luke Skywalker after they had been stranded
in the snowy wastelands on Hoth. At that time he was Rogue 2. At
