hibernation. Leia, Lando, Chewbacca, and Luke planned a mission to rescue him
from Jabba's fortress on Tatooine. When his friends arrived at Jabba's palace,

Lamasu at Kamino
First seen in Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones
A tall, lithesome alien, Lama Su is the Prime Minister of the storm-shrouded
planet Kamino. Commissioned by an enigmatic Jedi Master named Sifo-Dyas, Lama
Su developed an impressive clone army of thousands of troops. Far removed from
galactic affairs by virtue of Kamino's remote location, and the natural Kaminoan
predilection for isolation, Lama Su never questioned the role of the army or
its eventual use in the Clone Wars. He simply took great pride in the skills
displayed by those in his employ. |

Rank: Executor
Nom Anor at Rhommamool
First seen in the Expanded Universe
Spearheading the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy was a silver-tongued and
black-hearted executor known as Nom Anor. Though that was his true name, it was
only one of several he bore during his advance mission to infiltrate a galaxy
of infidels. This highly skilled member of the Intendent caste has bioengineering
talents that rival the skilled Shapers of his people. He has crafted organic
tools of cloak and dagger, and created an insidious virus with which he afflicted
Mara Jade Skywalker. Even when stripped of weaponry, Nom Anor is not unarmed
-- his eye socket conceals a plaeryin bol capable of spitting deadly venom. |

Taunwe at Kamino
First seen in Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones
History has recorded ethics becoming a casualty of scientific progress on a disturbing
number of occasions. Breakthroughs become twisted for violent applications, leading
to terribly efficient warfare. Cloning is just one such example. While its beneficial
application to the field of medicine is unquestionable, no one will soon forget
the scourge of the Clone Wars. The clone troopers introduced in that long conflict
were crafted by the scientific geniuses of Kamino, aliens renowned for their
genetic knowledge. The Kaminoan hatcheries used genetic material harvested from
the host template, a bounty hunter named Jango Fett. This material was grown
into thousands of soldiers inside glass-walled incubation wombs. The Kaminoans
employed growth acceleration techniques to effectively double the rate of clone
development. Without such measures, it would take a full life-time to grow a
mature clone. Their adult clones were ready for combat in less than a decade.
Throughout a clone's growth, constant physical and mental training honed the
warrior's skills. Unlike the mindless battle droid armies of the commerce guilds,
clones could think creatively and operate much more independently. |

Yuuzhan Vong at Another Galaxy
First seen in the Expanded Universe
Fearsome invaders from another galaxy, the Yuuzhan Vong are the greatest threat
faced by the New Republic since the collapse of the Empire. The Yuuzhan Vong
are singular in their goal of conquering this galaxy filled with infidels, and
transforming it into the new Yuuzhan Vong home, as dictated by their gods. They
will sacrifice anything for their religious beliefs, and many worlds have been
sundered in their crusade. The Yuuzhan Vong has a physical appearance quite similar
to baseline humanity. They have thicker builds, and less hair atop their heads
and their custom of ritual mutilation helps obscure all but the most superficial
resemblances to humans. |
