Acklay at Geonosis
First seen in Episode II: Attack of the Clones
The Acklay has sharp claws and teeth and the agility to use
them efficiently. The Acklay is from the planet of Vendaxa where
they hunt nocturnal creatures and spear them with their sharp claws.
The Acklay seen in the Geonosis execution arena was an exotic specimen
given to the Geonosians decades ago, after which they decided to
breed them for execution beasts. Escaped Acklays have killed entire
hives of Geonosians and have carved themselves a piece of Geonosis’
ecology. |

Bantha at Tatooine
First seen in Episode IV: A New Hope
Banthas are found on many planets, both as wild herds and
domestic pets and beasts of burden. They can adapt to many environments,
a prime example being Tatooine. Males have a pair of tapering horns
and their shoulders can be up to three metres wide. Banthas are
herbivores and can survive up to a month with no food or water.
Their thick fur and hides are prized for clothing and their meat
for food. On Tatooine the Tusken Raiders have special bonds with
their Banthas and if their Bantha dies, the Raider is sent off into
the desert to hopefully find a wild bantha to adopt him.

The dianoga is an omnivorous and parasitic predator from Vodran.
It spreads across the galaxy in its microscopic larval form. They
live in shallow pools and murky swamps and grow to an average of
10 metres. They have seven tentacles that provide movement and the
ability to grasp prey. Their single eye is planted on their trunk.
It will change color to match its last meal, and if it doesn’t
eat for a long period of time then it will become transparent. |

Eopie at Tatooine
First seen in Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Eopies are generally used as pack animals and beasts of burden for
the citizens of Tatooine. They have great endurance and can withstand
the harsh environment of the twin-sunned world. Young eopies are
vulnerable to predators, so eopies travel in herds. They breed at
six standard years and generally live until an age of ninety standard
years. An older eopie will be used by a moisture farmer to eat extra
weeds and brush around the farm. |

Used by assassins who don’t want to be traced, they can be
delivered remotely and leave no trace as to where they came from.
They are extremely venomous and instinctively seek out the body
heat of their prey. Originally from Induomodo, assassins have taken
them all over the galaxy to use for jobs. They have two ways to
deliver venom: their mouths deliver the venom that kills and their
stingers deliver painful but non-lethal venom. Typically, assassins
starve them before they set them loose. |

Kryat Dragon at Tatooine

Krayt dragons normally live in the Jundland Wastes and surrounding
areas. They continually grow throughout their lives and do not grow
weaker with age. They are extremely vicious and aggressive. Their
gizzards hold the prized krayt dragon pearl. They have three horns
on their head and they’re generally yellow-brown. Ben Kenobi
used the call of the Krayt Dragon to scare away the Tuskens attacking
Luke Skywalker. |

Mynocks feed on stellar radiation and absorb silicon and
other minerals from asteroids and spacecraft. They attach themselves
to passing spacecraft with their sucker-like mouths and go along
for the ride. They can do a lot of damage to a spacecraft if they
are not caught soon enough. They reproduce when they have absorbed
enough energy; they split in two. |

Nexu at Geonosis

The nexu is originally from the forests of Indona which is a continent
on the planet of Cholganna. A variety of nexu breeds are in existence,
each different breed adapting to its surroundings. The forest nexu
have a second set of eyes with infrared abilities in order to spot
prey before it sees them. Nexu have been transported offworld for
many purposes from entertainment to guard duty. |

Rancor are originally from Dathomir. They are very large carnivores
with large heads and beady eyes. They are very powerful physically,
but not too bright mentally. The witches of Dathomir catch rancors
and train them as mounts and pets. Rancor are excellent to ride
and to use in fights. Their arms are very long and seem out of proportion,
but they do their job well, feeding prey into their powerful jaws.
Along with being common on Dathomir, they are also found in the
Ottethan system.

Reek at Geonosis
First seen in Episode II: Attack of the Clones
A large animal, they are deceptively quick and agile when
charging their prey.
Reek are originally from Ylesia. People have been trying to domesticate
reek for years to be pack animals and serve other domestic positions.
Many people have realized that, if starved, reek will resort to
barbarity and become carnivorous toward other reek, animals, or
even people. Their strong jaws can snap tree limbs and bones with
a single bite, thus making them formidable foes. Its horns are used
for dominance among its herds, and few things can survive being
trampled by a charging reek. |

Sarlacc at The Dune Sea
First seen in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
The sarlacc is an omnivorous, multi-tentacled creature with
sharp teeth and a large beak. It has a huge mouth in its large wormlike
head and is always waiting to be fed. It will reach out and snag
an unsuspecting victim with one of its many tentacles and drag it
into its mouth and feed. Popular legend says you die a slow and
painful death in the stomach. It does actually take 1000 years for
the sarlacc to fully digest its prey. |

Space Slug at the asteroid

These creatures can reach up to 900 metres in length and
they inhabit dark and deep caverns in large asteroids near Hoth.
Rumor states that the worms were actually planted by the space pirate
Claburn as guardians for his base. The worms exist in virtually
no atmosphere and to live they break down the rock and use the mineral
content for sustenance. They reproduce through fission.

Tauntaun are native to Hoth and feed on lichen to survive, seeing
as how there’s not much else there. At first the tauntaun
is ornery but they are easily domesticated and trained to be mounts
and/or pack animals. Even though the tauntaun has thick fur and
skin, even they cannot survive the harsh Hoth nights so they must
seek shelter from the bitter freezing cold. |

Wampa are carnivorous creatures native to Hoth. They are
2 metres tall, have shaggy white fur, and creepy yellow eyes. Also
equipped with sharp teeth and claws, they hunt after tauntaun and
whatever else they can get their claws on. They do not hunt when
hungry, but will capture prey alive and bring it back and store
it in their cave until they need to eat. Great way to die, huh?

that can grow over 2 metres in length. They travel in packs and
use their claws and teeth to kill prey.

Worrts are pretty boring creatures. They sit in the desert
of Tatooine (the whole planet…) and feed on insects, rodents,
and other small creatures, but they’ll attack anything that
comes by whether it be edible or not. Jabba had a few around his
palace.
