Those attempting to do business with
Jabba the Hutt first needed to manoeuvre past his pasty-faced major-domo,
the Twi'lek Bib Fortuna. The darkly robed attendant often hovered
near Jabba's ear, offering advice and feeding information. Fortuna
followed the rules of protocol in the Hutt's court (such as they
were), and spoke only in Huttese, though he understood other tongues.
Fortuna's affiliation with Jabba stretched over decades. His career

Also know as 'Buboicullaar', a frog-dog
living on Tatooine, Bubo was at once plotting against and assisting
in plots against Jabba the Hutt. He was an Imperial operative, infiltrated
into the Hutt's palace to facilitate communications between the
Empire and Ree-Yees. A small transmitter had been placed in a lump
of flesh on Bubo's body, hidden until Ree-Yees needed to receive
a message. The Gran would then reach into the lump and extract the
message display, replacing it after reading the message. Bubo detested
Ree-Yees for his drunkenness and his inability to act on his own.
Thus, when Ree-Yees was to receive a detonator link for the bomb
he was building, Bubo ate it in front of the Gran. This enraged
Ree-Yees, and amused Bubo. While all of this was going on, Bubo
was secretly receiving training from one of the B'omarr monks, Evilo
Nailati. Bubo learned much from the monk, and when Jabba was killed
at the Pit of Carkoon, the B'omarr gladly welcomed Bubo's brain

First seen in Episode 4 - A New Hope
A loathsome slug of a gangster, Jabba

Basing his operations out of Tatooine, the Hutt had his pudgy fingers
in a number of lucrative and unsavoury rackets -- slavery, gunrunning,
spice-smuggling, extortion and more. Jabba's physical appearance
was as repulsive as his decadence. A hefty Hutt, Jabba resembled
a worm-like slug, with a legless, tapered body coated in slime.
A wide, drooling toothless grin split his flat face, and two yellow-red
reptilian eyes stared covetously from his immense head. Jabba surrounded
himself with the shiftless dregs of society, ensuring his protection
with a screen of henchmen and hired guns. He lived in an opulent
if sand-scarred palace out in the Tatooine deserts. Jabba's depravity
was legendary. He kept himself entertained by torturing and humiliating
his subjects. He kept scantily-clad slave girls chained to his throne
for his amusement. When fickle, Jabba would send his prize possessions

the galaxy. He had spent seven seasons as the head trainer, which
was a record. When Bib Fortuna and Bidlo Kwerve came into possession
of a rancor for Jabba the Hutt, they purchased Malakili from the
Circus Horrificus to tend the beast. His otherwise muscular body,
developed from years of hard work training the galaxy's most dangerous
beasts, was hidden beneath a huge paunch grown from the good eating
he enjoyed at the Circus. In the oppressive heat of Tatooine, he
dressed only in a loincloth and a black head drape. He became good
friends with Jabba's cook, Porcellus. When he learned that Jabba
was going to pit the rancor against a krayt dragon, he appealed
to the Lady Valarian for assistance. She agreed to help him, just
to spite Jabba. Malakili was then forced to train the rancor to
participate in Jabba's demolition derbies against vehicles of all
sizes. He managed to train the rancor to charge other combatants,
and mounted a pair of cannons on the beast's harness to blast the
others. Despite his efforts to save the rancor, Luke Skywalker killed
the creature before any of his plans could materialize. Malakili
was heartbroken, but he quickly came to his senses when he heard

while Jabba the Hutt was still alive. She was one of the few who
outright challenged Jabba's unspoken rulership of the spaceport
town. She hired Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes to play at her wedding
reception. She was twenty-four at the time, and was going to marry
D'Wopp. However, the simple-minded Whiphid decided to take up Jabba's
offer of a bounty on Han Solo's head instead. When he tried to leave
the ceremony, Valarian became enraged and a fight broke out. Imperial
troops tried to break it up, and shut down the illegal gambling
at the Lucky Despot. Valarian had D'Wopp sent back to Toola...in
a large number of boxes. She continued to try and thwart Jabba's
power plays, but the Hutt's influence extended too deeply into Mos
Eisley's substance. So, Valarian backed off and simply tried to
outmanoeuvre the Hutt. She planted a number of spies in Jabba's
palace, and even had a number of plots to kill the Hutt started.
She later employed her Whiphid lover, J'Quille, in an attempt to
kill Jabba. However, before J'Quille could succeed, Jabba was killed
at the Pit of Carkoon. Valarian slowly but surely began to usurp
Jabba's old businesses. She chose to abandon Jabba's bullying tactics
and tried to become a more benevolent employer to her new operations.
This approach worked extremely well, and by the time the New Republic
attempted to negotiate for governance of the planet, Valarian was
the primary source of power, water, land, and shipping rights. She
moved her base of operations to Mos Ethna, and was a driving force
in the emergence of the city as one of Tatooine's best spaceports. |

Palpatine and Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith. An elegant being,
Xizor was highly public, but his associations with Black Sun were
only whispered, and never ever spoken in accusatory tones. An ambitious
criminal mastermind, Xizor schemed to topple Darth Vader from his
favoured position beside Palpatine. Xizor hated Vader, though the
Dark Lord never suspected the true reason why. About a decade before
the Battle of Hoth, Vader had established a biological weapons laboratory
on the Falleen home world. After an accident, the city adjacent
to the lab had to be razed by orbital bombardment to stop further
contamination. Vader's actions killed 200,000 Falleen, including
Xizor's entire family -- his mother, father, brother, two sisters
and three uncles. Xizor was not on the planet at the time. Rather
than strike out in unprepared vengeance, Xizor carefully erased
all records of the family tragedy, forever deleting evidence of
