Sela was the result of a disturbance in the space-time continuum,
when the Enterprise enters the future, while being destroyed protecting
a Klingon outpost from Romulan attacks. Tasha Yar is alive again,
replacing Worf. Guinan senses something is wrong and convinces Picard
to send the Enterprise back into the past. Since Tasha Yar will
cease to exist, she goes back in time on the Enterprise. Tasha ends
up surviving the attack and is taken prisoner by Romulans. She lives
out her natural life and gives birth to Sela. Sela formulated the
idea of the invasion of Vulcan, along with Proconsul Neral. |
